Bài mẫu
I want to share a conversation that I had with my grandpa, one that came at a time when I experienced a tough breakup.
I remember sitting on the porch one morning, the air filled with the scent of the mud in his garden. I had just gone through a breakup and was feeling pretty low. Seeing my gloom, my grandpa decided to sit next to me and shared his wisdom.
He began by telling me about his own love story with grandma. It wasn’t a story straight out of a romantic novel, but something quite tough and filled with lots of ups and downs. I didn’t tell him my whole story though. But he told me that even when I would face lots of problems with the person, I can’t be with someone who made me cry that hard. So, the guy wasn’t the right person for me.
I couldn’t think clearly at that moment. I felt like there were thousands of stones in my heart. And to be honest, my grandpa’s words weren’t something so soothing and didn’t seem to heal at all. I even cried harder after that.
But looking back, I think his words gave me a new perspective. They helped me understand that it’s okay to feel the pain, but it’s also important to learn from it and move on. That conversation with my grandpa wasn’t just ‘a lesson’ , it actually changed my views about loving someone.
