In many parts of the world, some famous people are considered ‘role models’, and they are having an increasing influence on the young. 

Is this a positive or negative development?

Độ khó: Dễ/ Trung bình – Nội dung và câu hỏi trong đề không quá xa lạ với thí sinh (ảnh hưởng của người nổi tiếng). Tuy nhiên, thí sinh cần lưu ý kỹ đến việc lựa chọn idea, tránh việc “rush” viết bài khi gặp chủ đề quen thuộc.

Cách tiếp cận trong bài mẫu:

• Body 1: Người nổi tiếng đã trở thành một nguồn cảm hứng cho người trẻ..
• Body 2: Người nổi tiếng cũng khơi gợi sự chú ý và tham gia của mọi người vào những vấn đề thường bị bỏ qua.

Bài mẫu 

In many countries, celebrities are exerting a growing influence on young people, who often perceive them as role models. I am convinced that this is a predominantly positive development. 

In the modern era, celebrities have emerged as a prominent source of inspiration for young individuals. Such an impactful role is achieved through openly sharing not only their accomplishments but also the challenges they have encountered. On the one hand, famous people exemplify what dedication, hard work, and resilience can achieve, thereby motivating countless fans to pursue their dreams and passions. Simultaneously, a growing number of contemporary celebrities are candid about their setbacks, vulnerability and even their psychological problems. This openness reminds their younger fans that those in the spotlight also face difficulties, thereby creating a sense of empathy while also inspiring young people to embrace their imperfections. 

An additional positive aspect is the significant influence exerted by public figures on awareness and participation for often overlooked issues. Many celebrities, via their large fan base and social media presence,  have successfully directed attention towards critical matters and advocate youngsters’s involvement in meaningful activities within their communities. Take Emma Watson – a notable actress and dedicated celebrity activist as an example. Through her celebrity status, she has effectively brought attention to previously overlooked issues, including girls’ education and feminism. Her influence goes beyond creating awareness as it also creates a sense of contribution and encourage positive involvement in societal problems, particularly among the younger generation

In conclusion, I consider the rising impact of certain celebrities on their younger fans as a positive trend, given their ability to inspire their fans and the substantial contributions they make in raising awareness about societal issues.
