YSCHOOL GIẢI ĐỀ THI THẬT – Bài mẫu IELTS Writing Task 2 – Đề thi ngày 27/01
University students in some places live in the same house with their family, while those in other place have to reside in other cities during their studies. I believe that living away from home bring university students more benefits than drawbacks.
Students living far from home may encounter a few short-term difficulties. First, some of them may struggle to adapt to a new environment, especially when they no longer have the direct support from their families. For example, many Vietnamese students from rural areas tend to have a hard time managing their personal lives and establishing connections with people when studying in big cities like Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh because they have to get used to fast-paced urban lifestyles without any help from their parents. Second, homesickness and loneliness are other common issues among students who live far from their home. Some students cannot get along with the new life or new community and therefore may constantly feel estranged, lonely, and isolated when living in a new place.
However, living away from home is essential for university students and will bring them invaluable benefits. When their family is no longer around, students have to learn how to manage almost everything in their lives, from their budget, relationships, and work or study schedules. This will eventually make them become more mature and independent, which is crucial for their future life, regardless of their careers. In addition, moving to a new place also broadens students’ horizons since they are exposed to new people with different lifestyles and beliefs. Such an exposure can give students a more open and empathetic mindset since they are aware of how diverse people’s lives can be. For instance, a student from the countryside going to a big city may realise that life is not always slow and peaceful like in their hometown but can also be hectic and demanding. Therefore, he or she can develop a better overview of the society and become more empathetic towards people who have to work hard to earn a living.
In conclusion, living away from home may pose certain challenges to students, including the struggle to adapt to a new environment and negative emotions. However, this is more of a positive development since it helps students become more mature and open up their mindsets.
