The chart below gives information about the journeys to school by children aged 11 to 16 in the UK in a year.

Độ khó: Khó – Thông tin được cung cấp trong biểu đồ có thể “gây nhiễu” nếu thí sinh đọc đề không kỹ (tỷ lệ chuyến đi của học sinh). Ngoài ra nội dung biểu đồ có nhiều khía cạnh hơn bình thường (trong mỗi chuyến đi có cả khoảng cách và phương tiện được sử dụng), điều này có thể gây nhiều khó khăn cho thí sinh trong việc đặt câu.
Cách tiếp cận trong bài mẫu:
- Overview: Bus và car được lựa chọn nhiều ở khoảng cách từ 2 miles trở lên, trong khi cycling và walking được lựa chọn ở khoảng cách ngắn hơn. Walking và cycling không được lựa chọn ở các khoảng cách dài.
- Body 1: Miêu tả số liệu của walking và cycling.
- Body 2: Miêu tả số liệu của car và bus.

Bài mẫu
The chart illustrates the transportation methods used by children aged 11 to 16 for traveling to school and the corresponding distances covered in the UK.
Overall, buses and cars are the preferred modes of transportation for journeys above 2 miles, while walking and cycling are favored for shorter distances. In addition, walking and cycling are nonexistent in trips longer than 5 miles.
The majority of journeys to school on foot are within a mile, comprising 90% of the total (the highest percentage recorded in the entire chart), compared to those covering 1 to 2 miles, at 60%. Meanwhile, a much smaller proportion of walking journeys (approximately 25%) are between 2 to 5 miles long. Regarding cycling, this method is most prevalent for journeys spanning 1 to 2 miles, constituting 75% of such trips. The percentages of cycling trips covering 0 to 1 mile and 2 to 5 miles are relatively similar to each other, each standing at around 50%.
Going to school by car is mostly chosen by students traveling distances of 2 to 5 miles to school, with over 30% of car journeys falling within this range. This is followed by journeys spanning 1 to 2 miles and over 5 miles, each comprising roughly 20% of car trips. Meanwhile, less than 10% of car trips cover less than 10%. Around 70% of trips spanning over 5 miles are taken by bus, followed distantly by 50% journeys of 2 to 5 miles. Conversely, only 10% of bus journeys are between 1 to 2 miles, compared to a negligible 1% for journeys under a mile long.
