Bài mẫu IELTS Speaking Part 1 – 9/3/2024 – Topic Sweets
Phần thi Speaking gồm bốn phần, đầu tiên là “Speaking Part 1” hoặc “Part 1”. Đây là phần bắt đầu và nhẹ nhàng nhất trong bài kiểm tra Speaking. Part 1 là cơ hội để thí sinh có thể làm quen và tự tin hơn cho các phần thi còn lại. Vì là phần thi đầu tiên nên thí sinh thường mắc phải các lỗi về tâm lí và ý tưởng cho câu trả lời. 1. Did you enjoy cakes and sweets when you were a child? (Why/ Why not?)
I don’t really remember, but I guess maybe I also got a sweet tooth like many other kids out there. The only thing I can remember was that my parents often threw me a birthday party when I was around 5 to 10 years old, and I just loved the cake at those parties.

2. Have you ever made a cake yourself? (Why/Why not?)
I actually attempted to do that once when I was in university. However, the result was quite a disaster because the cake just looked like an exploded house when it came out of the oven.
- An exploded house (idiomatic expression): nghĩa đen là như một căn nhà đã bị nổ tung, ý ở đây nói rằng bánh đã được nướng cháy khét lẹt
3. On what occasions do people in your culture eat special cakes or other sweet food? (Why?)
The first occasion is the birthday. Just like in other places, people in Vietnam also have cakes and sweet foods in a birthday party. We also have a special kind of cake called moon cake in the Mid-Autumn Festival, which often takes place in around September. And of course, we can’t miss the iconic Chung cake in the Lunar New Year.
- The Mid-Autumn Festival (noun phrase): Tết Trung Thu
- Iconic (adjective): mang tính biểu trưng
4. Do you enjoy eating something sweet at the end of a meal? (Why/Why not?)
I did when I was a kid, but not now. As an adult man, I prefer a beer after a meal because I think beer helps me digest the food better.
