Đề bài Task 1 ngày 6/5 không quá khó do thông tin trong đề không quá xa lạ với thí sinh, ngoài ra đề cũng chỉ cung cấp 3 nhóm số liệu, điều này khiến cho việc chia đoạn cũng không quá khó khăn.
Phân tích đề bài
Dạng bài: Biểu đồ đường có sự thay đổi theo thời gian.
Độ khó: Dễ – Số nhóm thông tin trong bài khá hạn chế (3 nhóm), đồng thời thông tin được đưa ra cũng không quá khó. Tuy nhiên để tránh bài viết lan man, thí sinh vẫn cần lưu ý đến việc lựa chọn các chủ ngữ phù hợp để miêu tả số liệu trong bài.
Cách tiếp cận trong bài mẫu:
- Overview:
- Số lượng người tới nước Anh vì Business và Holiday tăng dần qua các năm.
- Số lượng người tới vì Meeting friends and relatives biến động liên tục nhưng vẫn là lớn nhất ở phần lớn các năm.

The line graph illustrates the number of foreign visitors to the UK for various reasons from 1989 to 2009.
In general, more people went to the UK for business and to visit friends and relatives throughout the years. On the other hand, the number of visitors going on holiday wildly fluctuated, but this was still the most popular reason during most of the period.
5 million overseas visitors came to the UK for business purposes in 1989, compared to around 3.5 million who visited their friends and relatives. Despite a small drop of 1 million in 1994, the figure for business trips then soared in the following years and peaked at 8 million in 2004 before decreasing slightly by 1 million in 2009. The number of those meeting friends and relatives followed a quite similar pattern: it climbed to a peak of 7 million in 2008 and then fell to 6 million one year later.
Regarding those going to the UK on holidays, the number went from over 6 million people to a peak of over 9 million in 1999. However, the figure then plunged to under 8 million in 2004 before rising again to 9 million in 2009.
