1. What are the differences between face-to-face communication and communication by telephone?
There are certain differences. Face-to-face communication lets people see one’s expressions and body language, which can help people understand each other better. On the other hand, when talking on the phone, people can miss out on those visual cues, so it can be harder to gauge how the other person is feeling. Plus, as people can hear others’ laughter, make eye contact or pat someone on their back to show encouragement when meeting someone in person, it feels more personal and intimate than talking on the phone.
2. Do you think body language plays a role in communication?
Yeah, body language certainly matters in communication. It can say a lot about how someone feels, even if they’re not saying it out loud. For example, crossing arms might show they’re defensive or closed off. And smiling can make someone seem more approachable and friendly. So generally body language is a big part of how people can understand each other, sometimes even more than the actual words they say.
3. How can people communicate well with others?
To communicate well with others, first off I think it’s important to be all ears, really paying attention to what they’re saying. Also, being clear and concise is essential for good communication, whether it’s at work or at home. I don’t think people can successfully get their message across if they just beat around the bush or always try to candy-coat the truth.
