The two bar charts below show the proportion of 14 to 16-year-old students studying a foreign language in an English-speaking country, and the top three foreign languages.

Độ khó: Dễ – Số liệu ở 2 biểu đồ không khó để miêu tả, đồng thời mỗi hình cũng không có quá nhiều số liệu nên việc phân bổ thông tin giữa các câu không quá khó khăn.
Cách tiếp cận trong bài mẫu:
- Overview:
- Tỷ lệ nữ học ngoại ngữ luôn cao hơn nam, và tỷ lệ của cả 2 giảm sau 23 năm.
- Spanish là ngôn ngữ ít phổ biến nhất nhưng có số liệu tăng.
- Body 1: Miêu tả số liệu ở hình 1 – tỷ lệ nam và nữ học ngoại ngữ.

The given bar charts demonstrate the percentage of male and female students at the age of 14 to 16 who studied a foreign language in an English-speaking country and the top three languages in 1984 and 2007.
In general, the proportion of girls studying foreign languages was higher than that of boys in both years, and both figures fell after 23 years. Spanish was the least popular foreign language among the three surveyed ones, but only its figure increased in 2007. Nearly 50% of girls decided to study a foreign language in 1984, compared to only 30% boys. 23 years later, both figures experienced a decline, with girls dropping to 40% and boys to around 25%.
French was the most popular foreign language in 194 when selected by 50% of students, followed by 20% choosing German and only about 5% studying Spanish. In 2007, the proportion of those studying French fell by a half and stood at only about 25%, while the figure for German also dropped by roughly 5%. In contrast, the percentage of students choosing Spanish saw an opposite pattern, as it rose to 10% in 2007.
