Bài mẫu Writing
Commuting to work or school is taking up too much of people’s time nowadays. This essay will outline the reasons why this happens and suggest feasible solutions to reduce commuting time.
People now spend more time travelling to work or school mainly because of choice of living places and increased level of congestion. Many people nowadays tend to reside in the outskirt or satellite towns for a better environment than city centres which are often filled with pollution and noises. However, their workplaces or schools are still located in central urban areas, which means they have to spend a few hours commuting a long way to work or school on a daily basis. In addition, traffic congestion has become more severe in many places, especially big cities, due to the increasing number of people and vehicles. As a result, city dwellers tend to get stuck in traffic jams more frequently and take more time to reach their workplaces or schools.
The government and businesses can take several measures to reduce people’s daily commuting time. First, the government can widen city roads and upgrade public transport facilities to reduce traffic congestion. This can drastically lower the time when people get stuck in long lines of vehicles on their daily trips to work or school. Second, companies can consider relocating offices to the outskirt so that their staff no longer have to spend too much time travelling a long way to work every day.
In conclusion, people’s living places and daily traffic congestion are the two main reasons why people now spend too much time travelling to work or school. The government and businesses can take several actions, such as upgrading the transport system and relocating offices, to help reduce people’s time spent on daily commutes.
