I think I want to try the job of a psychiatrist or a therapist. This is not something popular in Vietnam because not many people here care about mental health or things like that. However, after doing some research on this field, I find it quite fascinating and want to give it a try.

Psychiatrist and therapist are technically two different jobs. A psychiatrist is basically a medical doctor who gives diagnoses and treatments to patients with mental disorders. The treatment in this case is mostly medication. A therapist also deals with people’s mental issues, but, as the name suggests, they mostly help their patients through therapy sessions. In most cases, they aren’t allowed to prescribe any medicines to people.

Both these jobs are quite interesting for me because they’ll allow me more opportunities to study and understand better about human’s psychology. It’s something that has always captivated me. I’ve always been curious about how our brain actually works and why we do what we often do since I was a kid.

However, this can be quite a challenge for me since I have to spend a couple of years studying and getting some degrees before being able to do either of these jobs. But I think I’ll consider going for it no matter what. And that’s everything I wanna share today.
